These repairs are carried out by Flygt and come with 1 years warrenty.


Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction

Binder is working with the Bio Group in a ground breaking project, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, through a profitable, diverse network of facilities, turning organic waste into renewable energy, whilst at the same time creating organic soils for application to land as part of the battle against desertification.

The key technology is an Anaerobic Digester biomethane facility, a unit which is established at Southwold, Suffolk, with a negative carbon footprint.


New Legislation - Septic Tank discharge

The Environment Agency has introduced New Legislation known as the Environmental Premitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010.

These will require discharges of below 2m3 to land and 5m3 to watercourse to be resitered. It will apply to ALL existing and new installations of Septic Tanks and Sewage Treatment Plants.

During the summer of 2010 we laid a new driveway and fitted electric gates, this has made it easier for on call staff, plus it has given us a smart new entrance

Staff training for 2010 has gone well and the training programme has been kept on target, a new course for senior management on Health & Safety proved very usefull as has the Driver training programme.

Binder Enery - An alternative source of supply is still being investigated with anaerobic digestion and wind turbines both having many advantages. We hope to make a decision during 2011 as to which course of action to take.


Tanker Department

This service is still going well inspite of heavy competition in this area, it seems that our commitment to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 is giving us the edge on customer service, long may it last! The new tanker ordered from Orwell Trucks should we arriving in April 2011, this will replace an older vehicle and maintain our policy to run modern trucks.


Binder Maintenance Department

At the end of 2009 Binder secured the contract to service the pump stations at Felixstowe Dock complex, it was a challenging start but is now all going to plan. The number of domestic maintenance contracts has risen by 400 which means we now have a very good spread throughout East Anglia. Binder is continuing to work closely with ITT Flygt to maintain the quality of small package pump stations.
