    Binder Celebrates Regional Award

    We are thrilled to announce that Binder Ltd has been awarded the ‘Best Partnership with a Local Authority Building Control Team’ at the esteemed LABC Building Excellence Awards. This regional award, presented in recognition of our outstanding collaboration with Babergh & Mid Suffolk District Councils, is a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional construction standards, quality workmanship, and innovative solutions in every project we undertake.

    The LABC Building Excellence Awards are the largest and most prestigious business-to-business awards within the UK building control sector, celebrating those who go above and beyond to achieve excellence in construction. This accolade means so much to us as it highlights the strength of our partnership with local authorities and showcases our dedication to driving industry standards forward.

    We’re Heading to the National Finals!

    The journey doesn’t stop here – we’re excited to share that we’ll be attending the national awards ceremony on Friday, 24 January 2025, at the iconic Grosvenor House in London. This black-tie event will bring together the best of the best from across the UK to celebrate the very pinnacle of building excellence, and we are proud to be part of it.

    Binder shines at the Suffolk Show 2024

    Binder Ltd proudly attended the Suffolk Show on 29 and 30 May 2024, marking yet another successful participation in this historic county event. Hosted at the scenic Trinity Park in Ipswich by the Suffolk Agricultural Association, the Suffolk Show is a prestigious annual celebration dating back to 1832, that celebrates the best of Suffolk’s heritage, culture, and industry.

    Despite a few rain showers, the weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the visitors who came out in droves to enjoy the event’s diverse attractions and activities. The Suffolk Show is known for offering a little something for everyone, from agriculture and food to crafts and more, making it a fun experience for the whole family.

    One of the big highlights for us this year was the visit from the Duke of Gloucester. His Royal Highness took the time to meet our founder, Wally Binder, which was a real honour and a moment we’ll remember for a long time. It’s not every day you get to rub shoulders with royalty!

    We’re also thrilled to share that Binder Ltd brought home not one but two prizes this year! Our team’s hard work and creativity paid off when we won the award for Best Floral Display. Our stand was bursting with color and beauty, thanks to the dedication of our talented team. On top of that, we were awarded Best Overall Stand, a huge recognition of the effort we put into making our booth engaging and inviting for everyone who stopped by.

    Throughout the show, we had the chance to meet so many wonderful people, including our loyal customers and lots of new faces. It was fantastic to chat with everyone, share our latest products, and hear valuable feedback. These connections mean the world to us and help us keep improving and serving our community better.

    The Suffolk Show itself was packed with activities and exhibits that showcased the very best of what Suffolk has to offer. From stunning agricultural displays and mouth-watering food exhibits to unique crafts and lively entertainment, there was no shortage of things to see and do. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making it a memorable event for all who attended.

    We want to extend a big thank you to the Suffolk Agricultural Association for putting together such a fantastic show and to all the visitors who made it a success. Winning the awards for Best Floral Display and Best Overall Stand was the cherry on top of an already amazing experience. We’re already looking forward to next year and can’t wait to do it all over again!

    Roy Graver awarded with long service award

    Roy Graver celebrated a big work anniversary last week and in recognition of his service, owner Wallace Binder presented him with a sovereign at Binder HQ.

    Roy has worked at Binder for over 40 years, with various roles including the building of the initial concrete products in the 70’s to the installation of sewage treatment plants and finally in the engineering team ensuring systems are fully compliant and serviced accordingly. He now works part-time supporting the development of the Binder Bio products. 

    ‘I don’t plan to leave anytime soon! I’m 73 and I love working for a family business like Binder. I feel valued and looked after by the family and I appreciate my loyalty being recognised and celebrated’ said Roy after his recent anniversary.

    Congratulations to Roy and thank you for all your hard work and dedication to Binder.

    Service award for Keith

    Senior Engineer Keith Bates celebrated a big work anniversary this week.

    Keith has worked at Binder for over 20 years and in recognition of his service, owner Wallace Binder presented him with a half sovereign at Binder HQ.

    ‘Keith is a valued member of the team at Binder and both myself and the rest of the senior management team are grateful for his continued dedication and commitment to the company. Over the past 20 years Keith has grown in his various roles with the business and we hope he will work for us for many years to come. Congratulations Keith!’ comments Wallace, owner and founder of the company.

    Keith started as a service engineer and more recently has taken a senior role supervising the engineering team and managing quotations for work required post-service.

    Congratulations to Keith and thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

    Success at the Suffolk Show

    The 2023 edition of the Suffolk Show had a tremendous turnout, hosting a day out for everyone at Trinity Park, Suffolk on Wednesday 31 May and Thursday 1 June.

    The event hosted a jam packed programme with equine displays and livestock competitions. Some of the 2023 highlights included the Farm Discovery Zone, NEW Farm4Future exhibit and Suffolk Skills Zone.

    The Binder team attended the county event and customary to tradition hosted a stunning stand with floral displays and clever use of water features surrounded by our product suite.

    Director Ed Binder, Sales Manager Tony Shaw and Customer Accounts Manager Peter Elmslie (below) proudly accepted First Prize for ‘Best stand representing environment and/or countryside’.

    Congratulations to the Suffolk Agricultural Association for another fantastic event and thank you to our customers, partners and colleagues for popping by the stand to say hello to the team. We hope you enjoyed your visit. We look forward to the 2024 event!

    Loyal service celebration

    Binder Ltd are continuing what has become somewhat of a tradition over the last 10 years by presenting beautiful half gold sovereigns to members of staff who have worked for the company for 20 years. 

    Chairman, Wally Binder, is delighted on behalf of the Directors to present both Derek Youngman and Paul Compton with their long service awards.  Derek started with us a tanker driver in 2001. Derek came to Binder’s after 10 years working for the Tolly Cobbold brewery as a drayman. Over the years Derek has become an extremely popular tanker driver amongst our customers, with our scheduling team often being asked for them to send “the man with the beard”.  

    Paul started his time with Binder making fibreglass products and soon went into our construction department which replaces septic tanks for sewage treatment plants into both domestic and commercial applications. After 4 years in our construction department, Paul achieved his HGV license and moved on to become one of our Tanker Drivers becoming a senior Tanker Driver for 3 years. in 2018 a vacancy became available assisting in running our on-site sewage treatment plant. Paul is now an integral part of the team which operates this important part of the business.  

    All the Directors would like to express their gratitude to both Derek and Paul for their stoic commitment to the Binder brand and would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone, those who have recently joined and those who have become an integral part of the fabric for their hard work over what had been a very challenging and unprecedented time.  Let’s look forward to many more years together !!!!!
