Meet the team – Ryan
In our next interview for our Meet the Team series we’re introducing Ryan Hunn, one of our trainee electricians, who has been part of the Binder team for almost eight years.

Job Title: Trainee Electrician
Time at Binder: Almost eight years.
A day in your life at Binder:
Ryan’s day starts earlier than most. A 4:30am dog walk comes first, followed by a gym session, before work begins at 7am. No two days are the same. His role covers breakdowns, wire-ups, servicing, and supporting some of Binder’s larger contracts, including Sizewell. Ryan enjoys the practical, hands-on nature of the work. He particularly likes wire-ups. He is always ready to get stuck in wherever he is needed. His days often involve travelling across East Anglia, sometimes down very narrow country lanes when the sat nav gets adventurous.
Best part of the job:
Ryan values the variety his role brings. Every day offers something different. New challenges. New locations. New people. He enjoys not knowing exactly what the day will bring and takes pride in adapting to whatever is needed.
Outside of work:
Ryan loves spending time with his family and raising his two young boys. When he gets a bit of time to himself, you’ll usually find him in the gym or watching football.
Desert island disc:
Take Care by Drake.
Tea or coffee, and how do you take it?
Coffee in the morning. Tea in the afternoon. As it comes. Almond milk is a definite no.
Takeaway of choice:
Chinese, every time. As many dishes as possible. One or two is never enough.
Ryan brings reliability, energy, and a strong work ethic to the Binder team. His experience, flexibility, and positive attitude make him a valued part of our operations. We are proud to have him as part of the team.
