Site surveys
Choosing the right wastewater system starts with understanding your site. That is why we offer a completely free site survey for new installations to help establish your requirements and answer any questions you may have.
During the survey, one of our experienced team members will visit your property to assess the site and discuss the most suitable options for your installation. This allows us to understand the practical requirements of the location and recommend a solution that will perform reliably for years to come.
There is no cost for this survey and no obligation to proceed.
We also offer compliancy reports for existing systems, typically for those buying or selling property. Please contact us for more information regarding this service.
What the survey covers
Our surveys are designed to give you clear guidance before any installation work begins.
During the visit we will typically review:
- The location and layout of the site
- Ground conditions and access for installation
- The size and type of system required
- Drainage routes and discharge points
- Environmental and regulatory considerations
This helps us recommend the most appropriate system for your property and ensures everything is planned properly from the start.
Advice you can trust
A site survey is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and understand the options available.
Our team can talk you through:
- Current regulations and environmental requirements
- The difference between treatment plants, septic tanks, and other systems
- The best solution for your property or project
- Expected installation requirements and timescales
We believe customers should feel confident and informed before making any decisions.
Who site surveys are for
Our surveys support a wide range of projects, including:
- Private homeowners
- Property developers
- Farms and rural estates
- Hospitality venues and commercial sites
- Existing systems that may need upgrading or replacing
Whether you are installing a new system or replacing an existing one, a site visit helps ensure the right approach.
The septic tank came up as an unexpected issue very late on in our house sale process. Not only did we know if it was compliant with general binding regulations, but it needed emptying after several years of neglect. Arranging for emptying of the tank and a survey on the same day (with only a few days’ notice) seemed like a big ask, but Binder -in particularly Tom – were exceptionally helpful. They were quick to respond to queries, communicated well re quotations and agreed works, had fantastic organisation so that the tank was emptied and surveyor on site only an hour or so apart, and the final report was with us in a few days. Very grateful for the high quality level of service we have received at such a stressful time.
