Binder expands wastewater services nationwide
Over the past two years, Binder has taken an important step forward. We now manage a wide range of sewage treatment plants and pumping stations across the UK, reaching beyond our East Anglia roots to support sites in Scotland, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Bristol, Devon, the Midlands, the South Coast and London.
A growing partnership
Traditionally, we worked closer to home. But after delivering consistent and reliable service in East Anglia, a large national housing association invited us to take on their sites across the country.
Before this, they used several contractors, which meant varying standards and higher costs. By choosing Binder as their single partner, they now benefit from a joined-up service with one team looking after everything.
Our service covers every stage of wastewater asset management, including:
- Routine inspections and maintenance of sewage treatment plants and pumping stations
- 24/7 emergency response to breakdowns or urgent issues
- Tankering, desludging and cleaning to keep systems running efficiently
- Repair and replacement of equipment, from pumps to control panels
- Monitoring and reporting, giving clients a clear view of asset performance
- Compliance checks to ensure sites meet environmental and regulatory standards
- Planned works and upgrades, extending the life of assets and improving reliability
This end-to-end approach means clients no longer need to juggle multiple contractors. Instead, they have one reliable team who manages everything, keeping sites compliant, cost-effective and in good condition all year round.
How we work
To make sure every site is cared for properly, we have built a network of trusted subcontractors who share our standards. We also give clients a clear plan of works, setting out what we will do, how often, and the yearly costs.
This way, clients know exactly what to expect and can rely on us to keep their assets in good condition, while being on hand quickly if any urgent issues come up.

What our clients say
Here is what Toni, a Contract Manager at the housing association, said about working with Binder:
“My Account Manager, Peter, has provided no end of help, advice and great customer service. Their work ethic, integrity, diligence and professional approach, whilst remaining friendly and always at the end of the phone when needed, is second to none.
From their Account Manager and Engineers to their Directors and Office Staff, I feel rest assured that Binder always put the customer needs first; they are helpful, friendly and most importantly, they never let me down. Keeping our assets in excellent condition and always reliable to attend and resolve any urgent issues promptly. With regular contact and check-ins, we have built excellent rapport and working relationships… I am grateful to Binder for their hard work and dependability and look forward to working with them for many years to come.”
Looking ahead
This expansion is a proud milestone for us. Whether we are working in London, Devon, Scotland or anywhere in between, we remain committed to what matters most: being reliable, approachable, and delivering the high standards our clients trust us for.
