At Binder Ltd, our team plays a key role in delivering the reliable service we’re known for. This month, we’re introducing Kieran Brunning, who recently joined the sales team and is already making a strong impact.

We caught up with Kieron to find out a bit more about his role and what he’s enjoyed most so far during his time at Binder.

I joined the Sales Department in February, so it’s only been a couple of months. It already feels like much longer in a good way. Everyone has made me feel really welcome.

A Day in Your Life at Binder

I start the day at 9am with a catch-up with Ben, Peter and Tony to run through what the day looks like. From there, I spend a lot of time learning and building my knowledge, working closely alongside Ben. Our desks couldn’t be any closer, which definitely helps.

The day itself is a mix of chasing quotes, speaking to customers, finding new opportunities, and solving problems as they come up. I also support with managing key accounts, making sure everything runs smoothly for our clients.

The focus is always on being helpful. Whether it’s something big or small, we aim to make things as easy as possible for our customers.

Best Part of the Job

Customer satisfaction is the biggest one for me. It’s always rewarding helping someone find exactly what they need or solving a problem for them.

I also really enjoy building relationships. You get to speak to people from all walks of life and build trust over time, which is a big part of the role.

Another thing I enjoy is the variety. Not every day is spent at a desk. I like getting out, meeting people face-to-face, and being part of a team that’s all working towards the same goal and improving together.

Outside of Work

I spend most evenings either watching or playing football. I also run regularly and enjoy long walks with my 10-year-old Sprocker Spaniel, Chester.

I like to keep active, but I also enjoy the balance. I’m always happy with an ice-cold pint in a beer garden when the sun’s out.

I also love travelling. Each year I try to visit two new countries. One of my highlights was spending three weeks in Vietnam, travelling from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi. It’s an amazing place with so much variety.

Desert Island Disc

In Rainbows by Radiohead. I could easily listen to it on repeat.

Coffee or Tea

Coffee. A heaped spoon with a dash of milk, and a custard cream on the side.

Takeaway of Choice

I’ll eat pretty much anything, but Favourite Chicken in Felixstowe is a go-to.

Burger meal, wings, gravy and a Dr Pepper.

Kieran has settled into the team quickly and brings a great mix of energy, curiosity, and customer focus to the role. We’re looking forward to seeing him continue to grow with Binder.
